The Power of Meditation

Meditation here isn't separate from everything that comes before it — it's where the breath and the movement were always heading. Once the body has done its work, sitting still stops being a struggle and starts being available.

Even the length of a meditation matters. A few minutes shifts something immediate. Longer sittings begin to work on the nervous system itself. The longest reach into the subconscious.

Some of the deepest meditations in this tradition use no sound at all — just a stillness complete enough that something new has room to take root.
