The Power of Sound
Sound, used deliberately, is called mantra — and in Kundalini yoga it isn't decoration, it's a tool. A specific sound, repeated with attention, is used to shift a specific state: to lift a mood, to settle a mind, to mark a moment as different from the rest of the day.
It's also, quietly, one of the most forgiving doorways into this practice. Pure silence is hard for almost everyone at first. A mantra gives the mind something to do while it learns to settle.
That's why it's often where beginners start — not just where advanced practitioners end up.
